We’ve been long-time fans of Norm Architects in Copenhagen, Denmark, but with the recent addition of a full-time architect on our team, our obsession is at an all-time high. Of course we’re drawn to the natural materials and timeless aesthetic of Scandinavian design, but the overall philosophy of Norm Architects is particularly inspiring to us:

“Guided by the body and mind rather than by trends or technology, our projects explore ideas that not only look good, but that also feel good: Architecture becomes thoughtful, minimalism acquires softness and visual matter assumes haptic qualities. Our work is sharp and crisp and exudes, tacitly, our focus on quality, details and durability.”

We have been diving deep into learning more about how our living spaces impact our moods, our energy, and our well-being…. everything “hygge”. We are currently planning a trip to Denmark so we can immerse ourselves into this philosophy of comfort and contentment and how we can bring it into our client’s homes. We can’t wait to experience this for ourselves.

Thank you for the inspiration, Norm Architects. You can learn more about them on their website here.
