Another one of our upcoming projects, set between Estes Park and Lyons, CO, this mountain-side intellectual retreat is an off-the-grid sanctuary. The home blends modern architecture with the surrounding landscape, using nature itself as the color palette. Warm wood paneling inspired by burnt Japanese timber, concrete flooring, and expansive windows create a tactile, light-driven environment. The multi-building layout separates public and private spaces while maintaining cohesion through texture, wood tones, and a contemporary minimalism. From the custom kitchen island and concealed vent hood to the wood-clad master suite, fully tiled zen bathroom, guest house, art studio, and all-wood pavilion with a wood-burning stove, the home tells a unique story. One shaped by culture, travel, craft, and the landscape outside every window.
